Little is known about Rattler's life before joining the Serpent Society, save that at some point he got a bionic tail attached to his spine.
When Viper took over the Serpent Society, Rattler sided with her against Sidewinder. When Diamonback brought the Captain and his allies to help those who had remained loyal to Sidewinder, Rattler faced Falcon, but Redwing distracted him, giving Sam a chance to kick Rattler on the head, knocking him out.
