During World War 2, Fury was a sergeant leading an unit known as the Howling Commandos. The Commandos' most frequent enemy was Nazi [[Baron Strucker]]. The Howling Commandos also worked ~~alongside~~Super-Spy [[Captain America]] sometimes. At some unknown point after Cap's freezing, Nick lost an eye. Captain America ally Nick was the guinea pig for a formula to extend his life, so even though he has gotten some white hair, he is still in almost prime condition in the present day.
