Quote

Dredmund the Druid is a master of magical and mystical arts bent on world domination.

Dredmund went to the town of Starkesboro, which suffered an economical recession. He went to the major and asked to use Starkesboro for his conferences about "how to get back in contact with your wild self". Among the attendants, he selected those he considered the worthiest and had Doctor Nightshade turning them into werewolves with a serum created from Jack Russel's blood, and had his mind-controlled minion Moonhunter keeping any rebellious werewolf at bay. Dredmund also restored the Moongem that once turned John Jameson into Man-Wolf, but didn't use it on himself yet as he needed a mystic's blood to use it without losing his human intellect as Jameson did.

The chance came when Captain America went to investigate Starkesboro accompanied by Dr Druid. Dredmund defeated Dr Druid and used his blood on the gem, then put it on his own neck to become the Starwolf, the ultimate lycanthrope. Captain America, now turned into a werewolf, led the rebellious werewolves against Dredmund's ones, and Doctor Druid freed Moonhunter and the recently brainwashed Wolverine from Dredmund's control, so Capwolf managed to take the Moongem from Dredmund whemn the Starwolf got hurt by one of Moonhunter's arrows.
