Coachwhip was one of Viper's followers who joined the Serpent Society to help in Viper's coup against Sidewinder.
Coachwhip tries to kill Sidewinder after Fer-De-Lance fails, but Diamondback activates the teleporting circuits of Sidewinder's cape to take him and herself to safety. Later, when Diamondback brings the Captain, Coachwhip tries to whip him, but the hero puts Slither in the way of the whips and then throws his shield to knock Coachwhip out.
