Black Racer was one of Viper's followers who joined the Serpent Society to help in Viper's coup against Sidewinder.

Viper poisoned Sidewinder, but Diamondback took him to safety with help of the Captain and his allies. Viper sent Black Racer to intercept the ambulance carrying Sidewinder, but she was stopped by Vagabond, who defeated Black Racer by tickling her.

Black Racer remained with the Serpent Society after Viper left.
